Overview

Everyone who works with people is realizing that the old autocratic method of leadership simply doesn't work. The way to win is to build a great team.

John C. Maxwell has been teaching the benefits of leadership and team building for years. Now he tackles the importance of teamwork head on, writing about teamwork being necessary for every kind of leader, and showing how team building can improve every area of your life.

Written in the style of the bestseller" The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, this new book not only contains laws that you can count on when it comes to getting people to work together, but it tells them in such a way that you can start applying them to your own life today. And it's illustrated with great stories of team leaders -- and team breakers -- from history, business, the church, and sports.

Easy Read

The Laws of Teamwork by John Maxwell dived into team building and how to do it. It was an easy read with illustrations of how 2 or more is better than one. He had good examples of how teams have succeeded over just one person attempting the same thing. I noticed myself remembering what he discussed during the day. It wasn't completely entertaining but it was useful knowledge conveyed in an easy to remember format.

Good book for just about anyone that works with a company. Teamwork isn't just about projects, but about how you deal with others in your everyday career. Although I gave this audiobook 3 out of 5, I would give the BOOK 4 1/2 out of 5.

This may be one of Maxwell's best books. I listened to it several times over a month. I lead a team of ten hospital physicians who each have their way of doing things. I learned a lot from Maxwell's 17 Laws of Teamwork that I will apply. The book is most valuable if your team is in a corporate environment, but also useful in any large organization. It is read by the author, which I always prefer.
