Bubble gum, perhaps, to be taken seriously, not a chance, but never the less, it was a fun listen on a long trip. I wouldn\'t recommend for the serious historical minded, but for the ren fair folk its will be worth while. Wonder what the Oprah bunch would think?
I listened to about 2/3 of this, and then the meandering plot got to be too convoluted to continue. Plus I thought that the Maestro's knowledge about other cultures, religion, astronomy, etc were somewhat anachronistic and unbelievable. This was like bubble gum for my ears.
I think this plot had promise...but it turned out so silly and over the top in my opinion. The best part...Bernardo - the wonder kitty and morale officer!
