Though admittedly this book is slower than the other two books, it is absolutely necessary to tie the two together and therefore I really like it. I finally form solid opinions about characters and such, something I couldn't do in the Hunger Games and I start to understand a lot of the metaphors, etc. The narrator isn't my favorite but after listening to the Hunger Games I am used to her by now. This book is definitely important to get to my favorite of the three, Mockingjay.
The reader was just EXCELLENT!! It made listening to the book even a more enjoyable experience!!
I liked this book but it was a little more plodding and slow than the other two. The storyline and character development are needed for the grand finish of Mockingjay though. Narrator still doesn't seem appropriate for the character's ages.
I have to say that I'm not that impressed with the narrator. Her reading almost distracts me from the story but I do like listening and being able to do other things while doing this
