Overview

The stunning third and final novel in Stieg Larsson’s internationally best-selling trilogy

Lisbeth Salander—the heart of Larsson’s two previous novels—lies in critical condition, a bullet wound to her head, in the intensive care unit of a Swedish city hospital. She’s fighting for her life in more ways than one: if and when she recovers, she’ll be taken back to Stockholm to stand trial for three murders. With the help of her friend, journalist Mikael Blomkvist, she will not only have to prove her innocence, but also identify and denounce those in authority who have allowed the vulnerable, like herself, to suffer abuse and violence. And, on her own, she will plot revenge—against the man who tried to kill her, and the corrupt government institutions that very nearly destroyed her life.

Once upon a time, she was a victim. Now Salander is fighting back.

The Girk Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest

Not as good as the first 2 books. There are some very long and boring parts that discuss the Swedish government....these parts are hard to follow and are frankly, boring. When the action finally gets going again, it really holds your attention. Some of the problem may be that the book has been translated into English and the nuances are missing.

So far, it's great. I'm about one-third through part 2; I even look forward to my morning walks so I can hear some more of it.

This series was great i was so glad Elisbeth burned her father and put that tatoo on her guardian. I loved how you made her so smart with revenge and not a killer but a torturer. Great mind can't wait to here the end of book.

The last books makes the whole series worth it. They were all great, but this one takes the cake.
