This was a delightful coming of age story about a young girl who is sent to live with her gruff grandmother during the Depression. It has nostalgic references to old-fashioned values and ideas. Short and sweet.
This was quite enjoyable - plenty of plot without being too weighty, holds the interest, and not too long.
